Day 36

Breakfast: A banana with a spoonful of peanut butter (prep time: none)

Lunch: Leftover healthy bowl: chickpeas, quinoa, tahini dressing, and vegetables (prep time: 2 minutes to pack up in the morning)

Dinner: Leftover chicken chili that I made for the potluck last night with some blue chips (prep time: 5 minutes to reheat)

Snacks: A handful of almonds, sliced pineapple


  • 35-oz organic basmati rice ($4.59)
  • 16-oz wild rice blend ($3.69 – aisle 9B)
  • 11-oz organic mixed greens ($3.99)
  • A dozen organic brown eggs ($3.99)
  • 2 pineapples (clean 15 non-organic $5.98)
  • 2 lbs organic bananas ($1.40)
  • 16-oz organic rolled oats ($1.99 at the Syracuse real food co-op)
  • Total = 25.63
